RESPONSIBILITIES: * Handles all land functions associated with the drilling of oil and gas wells including working closely with surveying, permitting and drilling personnel during initial staking and field checks, notifying and obtaining drilling clearance from surface and mineral owners. * Negotiates damage and landowner settlements. * Clears well locations, access roads, pipeline and power lines and works with contract land personnel within a specified geographic area. * Handles surface owner issues relating to new and existing wells and pipelines and ROW acquisition. * Participates as a member of a development team for a geographic area. * Works closely with and provides information to the coal liaison to facilitate obtaining coal approval.
REQUIREMENTS:* Associate's degree in land management, mining engineering a closely related field; OR* At least two years of land-related experience.* Ability to review and comprehend agreements.* Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written.* Excellent mapping skills (tax, topo & farmline).* Good computer skills.
