Landman

Our client is an integrated energy company headquartered in Houston, primarily focused on the exploration for and production of natural gas. Originally organized in 1929 as a local natural gas distribution company, today they are involved in natural gas distribution, midstream services and natural gas and crude exploration and production.

Responsibilities
-Extensive experience in maintaining an active company-operated drilling program in respective areas with limited supervision.
-Our client is a very active company that is focused on internal organic growth via the drill bit (not through major acquisitions).
-Someone who loves being in the trenches, making trades/deals and taking some risks, and getting things done absolutely thrives in our environment.
-It is a very fast-paced environment that affords a Landman to be considered as an equal to a Geologist or Engineer.
-Being able to handle multiple projects simultaneously including directing the acquisition of right-of-way & surface use agreements, overseeing the review of title opinions is absolutely mandatory.

Qualifications
-Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
-Must have strong communication skills.
-Must work well with others in high stress situations.
-Dependable worker for high volume office.
-2 - 7 years experience as Petroleum Landman with either or a Major and/or Independent Oil & Gas Company.
-BS/BA or advanced degree in Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, Law or related discipline or the equivalent thereof.
-Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are imperative, with the ability to make presentations to management.
