Instrument and Controls Engineers with Q or TS clearance needed for nuclear work - Wilmington, NC

DEL Tech seeks Instrument and Controls engineers for their client company, a company that supplies advanced and sophisticated technology for the commercial nuclear energy industry.  This position is located in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Minimum Requirements:

· BS in Electrical Engineering

· Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience

· Must have active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance

Candidates should be knowledgeable in the following:

· Analog and digital electronic process control systems,

· Programmable logic controllers (PLCs),

· Distributed process control,

· Data acquisition and monitoring,

· Local panel and control console design, and

· Human-machine interface systems.

· Applicable design codes and experienced in designing batch and continuous process control systems.

· Designing control systems for potentially explosive environments, using either explosion-proof instrumentation or intrinsically safe instrumentation, or combinations thereof.

· Instrumentation symbology and terminology in accordance with International Society for Measurement and control (ISA) standards and recommended practices

· Production of Instrument System Diagrams (ISDs), loop diagrams, instrument tabulations, and design analysis and calculations to document the selection of instrumentation ranges, set points, alarm limit values, and required accuracies.
