Granite Services is looking for an Instructional Designer in Schenectady, NY for a long-term position with full benefits, 401k, and Vacation/holidays/paid time off. Job Description:  Instructional Designer/Content Developer, eCOE Energy Learning Center The eLearning group at the GE Energy Learning Center in Niskayuna, NY supports the eLearning needs of organizations throughout GE. As a core part of this support, the group designs, develops, deploys, supports, and maintains eLearning (digital training) course programs. The group’s current catalog of courses includes more than 150 discrete main topics, many with multiple sub-courses/variations (including foreign language versions, country-/business-/site-specific additional content versions, etc.) for a total of approximately 1000 programs. The eLearning group seeks a Content Developer/Instructional Designer. This role is responsible for developing technical and non-technical content and creating a structured course storyboard based on instructional design principles. Development of course content must be global in nature so that it may be leveraged to all countries. Position Requirements:  Analyze, design, develop & evaluate instructional materials/ e-learning courses for internal clients - cross business - cross functional subject matter - for appropriate distant learning channels - using design principles and adult learning theory; conduct performance and instructional analysis Consult and collaborate with internal clients/SMEs, Project Leads to support business objectives and meet project quality, time and budget Research, write, and edit content Steward the design throughout the projects lifecycle to ensure instructional integrity; · Create and/or edit graphics Review, evaluate and modify existing training programs to support changes / needs of client base. Qualifications: Â· Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Media, Education, Communications or a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.· Minimum of two years of instructional design experience required· Information Mapping and e-learning is preferred· Experience with designing or developing learning solutions using ADDIE model· Knowledge of instructional systems design (ISD) and/or adult learning principles required· Strong computer skills, including a familiarity with multimedia authoring tools and Internet technologies, proficient with MS Office software· At least one advanced learning technology, LearnPoint/Skillsoft, CBT/WBT authoring tools such as Captivate, Dreamweaver, Articulate etc. highly desirable· Excellent professional interpersonal skills; proven ability to collaborate with SME's to seek solutions and meet deadlines. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities from start to finish.
