Network and Server Administration;Software/Web Development;Web/UI/UX Design Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Industry: Energy and Utilities Job Ref Code: 071413 PacifiCorp is one of the lowest-cost electricity producers in the United States, providing more than 1.6 million customers with reliable, efficient energy.Location:  Any/all PacifiCorp and MidAmerican Energy corporate and service locations (including CA, IA, ID, IL, UT, WA, and WY). General Purpose: Performs activities related to the installation, upgrade, and support services of PacifiCorp's WEB infrastructure (JBoss, SAP NetWeaver) including general WEB hosting, SAP Enterprise Portal, xEM, XI, R3, BI and other SAP NetWeaver products. Responsibilities of this position include the following:  Support the design, construction, and implementation phases of a system and/or upgrade project. Provide expert knowledge and resources in support of performance tuning, corrective maintenance and enhancements for internet and intranet middleware, and infrastructure components including JBoss, SAP NetWeaver, Apache. Single Sign On, security, etc. Perform architect functions for WEB and SAP landscapes. Work closely with SAP Development, Functional, and Security teams to provide complex solutions for the entire landscape. Lead contractors for both operational and project activities in the WEB and SAP middleware area. Organize, plan, and execute large scale, complex projects from vision through implementation. Coach and mentor less experienced SAP administrators in the design and implementation of solutions. Performs activities related to the installation, upgrade, and support services of PacifiCorp's SAP NetWeaver, JBoss, and Apache web infrastructure. The role entails working closely with other technical teams such as SAP Basis & Development, Java/Web Development, Unix, and DBA teams.Requirements for this position include the following:  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five years experience in JAVA administration using JBoss, Weblogic, SAP NetWeaver (WEB/AS) (Applications will be considered for the Sr. Career and Career levels, with between 3 -5 years experience, as well). Sound understanding of secure Single Sign On principles and concepts. Minimum of 5 years experience installing, configuring, deploying, and securing distributed, systems deployed on SAP NetWeaver, JBoss, and Apache platforms.  Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Portal, XI, and new dimension SAP Java technologies is desirable. Project management skills including the ability to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, and to determine specifications, schedules, and deliverables. Technical skills including system administration, installation, configuration, and database management. Sound knowledge of Unix (Solaris/AIX), Database (DB2/Oracle) administration, and network architecture. An understanding and hands-on experience with SAP NetWeaver installations/upgrades, System landscape, Client strategy, TMS, CCMS, SAPGui, SSO, SAP Security architecture and tools is desirable Know-how and exposure to System Refresh/Copy, Backups restore/recovery including Disaster Recovery, Server sizing, consolidation and High Availability. Understanding of Company’s existing IT environment and of applicable Company policies, practices, and procedures. Additional Information:  Applications will be considered for the Sr. Career and Career levels, with between 3 - 5 years experience, as well. This position will be considered for permanent placement in any/all PacifiCorp and MidAmerican Energy corporate and service locations (including CA, IA, ID, IL, UT, WA, and WY).All offers of employment contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
