Job ID: 14768Location: Atlanta, GADepartment: 1525-Data Base AdministrationRelocation Provided: NoEducation Required: High School DiplomaExperience Required: 5 - 7 YearsPosition Description: Basic Function:Provides MVS mainframe support to AGL Resources and subsidiary users; assists Production Control Analyst.Representative Duties and Responsibilities:• Oversees vendor operations and maintenance of outsourced mainframe; coordinates system and application upgrades.• Monitors mainframe production environment, Customer Information System (CIS); identifies performance problems; contacts appropriate authority to resolve issues (e.g., Spufi slowdown); locks down system(s) in emergency conditions.• Processes work orders for emergency changes when required.• Coordinates customer billing services with vendor; identifies and resolves problems; ensures accurate charges for services (e.g., print billings, mail charges).• Helps facilitate production control meetings; prepare and distribute reports (e.g., Work Order approvals/disapprovals, emergency changes, system outages).• Assists IS Work Order review to ensure completeness (e.g., approvals, impact analysis, back out plan); ensure procedures are followed.• Reviews production logs and reports (e.g., service level performance), identifies errors, takes corrective action.Disclaimer: This information describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this job.
