Responsibilities will include: Design model-based decision support systems for refinery scheduling, blending, yield accounting, and other flowsheet simulation tools. Design and implement integrated refinery blending and scheduling systems. Define and document efficient refinery blending and scheduling business processes. Provide system analysis during system implementation and post implementation support for refinery scheduling systems. Develop end user training documentation. Work with refinery planners and schedulers to define requirements, develop business process, provide training, conduct testing and implement refinery blending and scheduling systems. Provide end-user support after implementation until the software is transferred over to support. High school diploma or GED Required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other applied math or science degree preferred. Minimum 5 years related experience required. Must be willing to travel 50% as needed to fulfill position responsibilities. Knowledge of refinery scheduling, blending, and yield accounting systems preferred. Knowledge of process historians, oil movement systems, planning systems, blending control systems, and nomination systems preferred. Strong technical development background in at least two programming languages (Visual Basic, Visual C++, or JAVA) and experience with systems integration, including integration with ERP systems, required. Fundamental knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, relational database concepts, SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database software required. Experience with M3 SIMTO, M3 MBlend, Aspen MBO, or Aspen Orion preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. CANDIDATES WITH GREATER QUALIFICATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR A HIGHER LEVEL POSITION.
