This is a multi-level position, with level placement dependent upon the skills and experience of the candidate. The HR Client Consultant is a Grade Level 6; the Sr. HR Client Consultant is a Grade Level 7.

Position will support Nuclear at Salem, NJ. Maintain the integrity of PSEG employment policies by providing managers and supervisors with guidance and interpretation of corporate policies, practices, and procedures. Conduct research and make recommendations on employment policies arising from complaints and issues. Provide guidance and direction in all areas of Human Resources including: employee relations, compensation, organization/individual development, EEO/AA, staffing, performance management, and succession planning. Deliver training to managers/supervisors in areas of IR/ER/EEO/Employment Relationships. Recommend and prepare corrective action as needed. Assist with investigations and make recommendations based on findings. Build relationships and alliances, throughout the organization with a bias toward action. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.

Required:

. BS-Human Resources or Business Administration and/or equivalent experience
PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited
by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
. Minimum 2 years experience as an HR Generalist/ER/IR Specialist
. Broad knowledge of all HR disciplines with a demonstrated in-depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Industrial Relations, Compensation, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, and Affirmative Action
. Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Windows applications
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Listening and presentation skills

Desired: Advanced degree in Labor Relations/Human Resources and/or S/PHR Certification.
