Chevron Global Downstream is accepting online applications for the position of Learning & Development Systems Advisor, Global Manufacturing (Refining) located in Richmond, CA (San Francisco Bay area) through September 26, 2008.Overview: This position will focus on developing, coordinating, and assisting individual refineries with the deployment of standardized Learning & Development (L&D) technology solutions for a 5,300 employee business unit comprised of eight refineries in the United States and abroad.Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Actively participates with refinery-based L&D groups to ensure development and deployment of standardized L&D solutions for the Global Manufacturing organization. Internally seeks and transfers knowledge that contributes to building L&D capabilities across the business unit. Shares Best Practices and lessons learned. • Significant role as change agent through our tranformsiton of existing L&D delivery proecesses. Area of focus will include: • Accountable for the improvement, creation and implementation of effective and standardized L&D technologies. Examples include:- Learning Management System standardization deployment and support- Competency System deployment and support- Central L&D Website (shared L&D resources and knowledge management)- Development, deployment and support of centralized simulator training and support contracts- Generic training software support- L&D metrics and reporting • Responsible for the integration of L&D systems with other systems, tools and process. Must work closely with corporate groups and appropriate project teams to ensure Global Manufacturing systems are compliant and integrated as neededRequired (Basic) Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required in Learning & Development or Information Systems. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in with L&D systems and technologies • Demonstrated project planning and implementations skills. Ability to successfully deploy and implement large-scale, global projects.• Must be able to work collaboratively across divisions, functions and geographies.• 15% travel required.Preferred Qualifications: • Strong communication, presentation and training skills. • Experience with refining, manufacturing or process organizations Relocation Options: • Relocation may be considered within Chevron parametersInternational Considerations: • Expatriate assignments will not be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Oakland/East Bay, CA 94801 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Human Resources
