Responsibilities include:
· Ensure the strategic, timely, accurate and cost effective creation, maintenance, and updating of the gas distribution system models: including:
o Create and verify connectivity of schematic graphics representing the gas distribution system.
o Update facility and customer load and location information.
o Verify and calibrate the system models using actual system information.
o Investigate & resolve discrepancies between modeled results and actual system data.
· Run computer simulations and system studies for both normal and emergency conditions.
· Maintain current and future capital budget project information.
· Provide analysis and information for critical valve isolation zones.
· Current & Accurate DIS/CIS market-system tables.
· Participate in Winter Operations Planning & Execution of Winter Operations.
· Assist in the establishing of group goals, objectives, and priorities.
· Support functional consistency, process standardization and operational excellence.
· Promotes safe working environment and public safety.
Requirements:
· 2 year Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or related field) or demonstrated knowledge of gas distribution operations or engineering.
· Experience with PC based applications, such as Microsoft Office, databases, or other spreadsheet applications.
· Ability to read and accurately interpret operating maps and records.
· Comprehension of gas systems and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
· Working knowledge of gas systems operation
