Gas Supply Coordinator
Perform all activities related to nominations and supply requirements ensuring timely processing of information and deliberate response. Schedule gas on a daily basis for pipelines in the New England areas through the use of the gas management system and pipeline EBB's. Coordinate with Supply and Planning on a daily basis to determine what changes need to be made to the supply portfolio in order to resolve any excess/shortfall of supply. Consult regularly with the supply and planning functions on the daily operational needs of the system. Interact with supplier, pipeline, and gas control personnel on a daily basis pertinent to daily gas management operations. Manage Operational Balancing Agreements with pipelines and LDC's to minimize potential penalties. Reconcile actual invoices to expected invoices, as they exist within the gas management system. Reconcile pipeline nominated volumes to volumes that exist within the on-system gas management system. Resolve transportation cost discrepancies by consulting with the pipeline. Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies by consulting with the trader that did the deal in question.
The successful candidate will have an Associates degree in business or technical field or 5 years related experience; working knowledge of tranmission and distribution networks and their constraints in moving supplies from system to system through multiple interconnections and city gates.; experience with gas transportation contracts or contracting Must be able to react quickly and effectively under changing conditions and have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, working knowledge of personal computers and software.
