Entergy Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is the second largest nuclear generation company in the United States. Entergy is planning to spin off its non-utility wholesale nuclear business into a new independent publicly traded company, Enexus. In connection with that transaction, Enexus and Entergy intend to enter into a nuclear services joint venture, EquaGen. At this time, we are seeking applicants for prospective employment with EquaGen and Enexus.
Staffing decisions will be made in a manner anticipated to result in the future success of Enexus, while maintaining continued success of the Entergy System.
Job offers for Enexus positions will be contingent on several factors, including the formation of Equagen and the consummation of the spin transaction, which is anticipated to occur in the latter part of 2008.
External candidates who accept offers will become employed by the Entergy System pending the spin transaction and internal candidates will remain with their Entergy System employer pending the spin transaction.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available at Enexus for a Fundamental Manager located in Stamford, CT.
Position Description:
Responsible for departmental processes to validate market prices, create commodity Point of Views (POVs), perform market research, maintain business intelligence, report the performance of transactions, and identify risks and opportunities available to the company. The price validation is a daily process to support the reporting of financial and risk profiles of the commercial transactions and open positions. Develops, operates, and maintains the fundamental market simulation models of electricity and an integrated model of electricity, natural gas, emission, and coal for short and long terms commodity POV. In addition, market simulation includes sensitivity and scenario analyses to quantify the risk profiles in an integrated environment. Contributes to the development, communication, and consistent application of the commodity POV and market research to support the commercial transactions, accounting, financial analyses, and acquisition processes.
Position Requirements:Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, related or technical field. 5 plus years of professional experience working in commodity structuring and/or fundamental analysis roles. Significant experience in power and gas commodity markets. Deep knowledge of the regional electricity market places, market structures and the market price determinations Deep understanding of the key drivers to electricity prices Deep understanding the interactions of electricity prices with other energy commodities Excellent quantitative, creative, and problem-solving capabilities Expertise in building and operating fundamental market simulation models for electricity, natural gas, coal, and emission. Very strong background in statistical and forecasting techniques Proficient in the use of market simulation tools such as PROMOD, PROSIM, GEMaps, ALTOS or similar applications, Microsoft Office applications including superior Excel and good PowerPoint skills
Desired Requirements: MBA (or similar Masters) or PhD in associated field. Specific experience with Northeast power markets in NYISO and NEPOOL. Familiarity with nuclear plant operations and uranium markets Valuation Theory (DCF modeling, CAPM, discount rates) Deep understanding of regulatory environment facing the power industry
