Freight Payment Processor/Auditor

This is a long-term contract position, which offers a comprehensive benefit package. Local candidates only. The successful candidate will have experience in both logistics and accounting/auditing. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of NYC; preferably within a 30-40 minute commute. The primary function is to process logistics invoices timely and accurately. Representing transportation, duty and associated costs for the movement of large Energy Projects. REQUIRES: basic understanding of international freight movement, basic accounting, ability to work independently, prioritize, and utilize clear oral and written communication skills. This includes, ensuring validity of charges, assigning cost account distribution per instructions, processing payment requests via database entries, research related to these payments and related administrative duties. The person in this position also backs up the Financial Analyst during absences. Additional requirements include: Handling large volume of data input accurately, use of Excel Spreadsheets, e-mail, Word, ability to self-schedule work to meet deadlines, and must work in a team setting.
