Position Description:

This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of power plant systems.Your responsibilities will include:* Preparing specifications for subsurface investigations.* Reviewing proposals for the subsurface investigation work.* Establishing laboratory testing programs.* Developing soil parameters for design of foundations, both static and dynamic.* Determining pile load capacities.* Working with Designers to accurately portray technical information on drawings.* Reviewing vendor documents for conformity with specifications.This position will require occasional travel in order to witness pile installations, pile load tests, etc.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following:* BSCE or MSCE with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.* 1 or more years of related experience in geotechnical engineering, including some of the following: subsurface investigation, development of soil parameters for shallow foundations, pile design, slope stability analysis, and sheet pile design.* Proficient with design tools and software such as Slope/W, Excel, Word, MathCad, etc.* Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
