The position may be filled at either the Associate Engineer (Level H), Intermediate Engineer (Level I), Engineer (Level J) grade. Individuals who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education and certifications may be eligible for the advanced grade.Basic Function:Under minimal supervision of more senior engineering staff, assists in the planning, design and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. This position is typically assigned to perform basic tasks and analysis on larger projects or perform standard tasks on all phases of smaller projects.Higher grade levels will work independently on complex assignments. Tasks assigned to a more senior Engineer often involve the consistent recognition and development of new or improved products/processes or techniques that substantially impact how AGL Resources does business on a daily basis.
