Energy Program Analysts (Multiple Positions at All Levels) - ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE U.S. CITIZENS.

 

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently awarded EnergyWorks Joint Venture LLC, a joint venture between New West Technologies, LLC and Energetics Incorporated, a multi-year technology development contract to support the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).  EnergyWorks provides EERE with technical, analytical, and management support for the development and deployment of cutting-edge renewable energy technologies - solar, wind, hydrogen, biomass, geothermal, and hydropower – to help meet America’s future energy and climate challenges.  We also support EERE’s programs to develop and deploy new technologies that improve the energy efficiency of our nations’ vehicles, homes and other buildings, factories, and government facilities.

 

We are currently accepting applications for Energy Program Analysts to work in our locations in Landover and Columbia, MD, Washington, D.C., and on-site at DOE in Washington, D.C.

 

Education/Experience:  These positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in policy, science, engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree in those fields is strongly preferred for senior positions.  The entry-level positions require one (1) to four (4) years of relevant experience.  Candidates for the mid-level and senior positions must have a minimum of five (5) and ten (10) years of relevant experience, respectively, preferably in energy or environmental consulting or technology development.

 

Responsibilities:  Energy Program Analysts assist EERE clients with a variety of activities required to run an effective technology development program and communicate progress and benefits to the public and key stakeholders.  Responsibilities may include: performing energy, market, and regulatory analysis and evaluating trends; preparing data in support of program budgets; responding to requests for information from Congress, EERE management, and other program stakeholders; assisting with input for operating and strategic plans; preparing communications and outreach products; developing website content; assisting with developing and implementing outreach and deployment strategies; facilitating meetings; supporting program teams; and assisting with quick-turnaround activities.

 

Skills/Abilities: Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, solid writing and presentation skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, and the ability to contribute to simultaneous tasks.  Candidates for senior positions must have proven abilities in managing programs, projects, and staff.  Proficiency required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
