JOB SUMMARY:
Incumbent will work with other technicians and engineers in a research and development environment supporting board-level and chip-level electronic design, development, and testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Incumbent is required to have at least one year of related work experience. A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electronics Engineering Technology (BSEET), or related, is required. Must be proficient using standard electronic test equipment such as DVMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, etc. Must have experience in electronic component testing and circuit troubleshooting. Must be proficient in soldering, including surface-mount components. Experience with Microsoft Office products, LabVIEW, and automated test equipment (NI modular instruments). Prefer experience with ASIC testing and scripting languages. Accelerated environmental stress testing, and reliability testing helpful. Incumbent should be able to innovate/create for special projects, manage multiple complex tasks, have a strong work ethic, good interpersonal skills, work without direct supervision, and have excellent written and spoken English language skills.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Support the electrical engineering teams that develop specialized network systems for high-temperature, high-pressure, high-vibration environments;Characterize, test, debug, and document electronic components and systems used to monitor and control computerized drilling equipment;Accelerated Stress testing;Complex Data Analysis;Documentation of test methods and results;Basic circuit design;Soldering, circuit construction;Chassis fabrication;Parts ordering;Basic hardware testing;Other duties as assigned.
