EFS Business Analyst

Organizational Statement Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing, is currently seeking an EFS Business Analyst for our Houston, Texas office. As a member of the enterprise wide EFS Strategy & Services team, this role is responsible for providing enterprise business solutions and support for integrated systems of high complexity in support of Enbridge's business objectives ¿ specifically for the EFS Oracle Financials Projects Suite (includes Project Management, Project Accounting and Fixed Assets modules).Responsibilities Provide analysis, advice, coaching and coordination to meet the needs of users including production environment integrity, module functionality, processes and responsibility profiles, configuration changes and enhancements, identifying and analyzing deficiencies, opportunities, and recommending solutions to maximize the effectiveness of Oracle FinancialsResearch, analyze, and document business requirements and business cases for developing or enhancing integrated systems of high complexity.Research/develop/enhance Projects Suite reports such that they meet the needs of the business¿includes ensuring that all the steps to complete the reports is properly documented as per existing EFS protocolMaintain relationships/liaison with Super-users, EFS and IT teams, and others to facilitate solutions and ensure appropriate parties are consulted in regard to proposed functionality and process changes.Implement and enforce established enterprise business processes, ensure documentation related to EFS processes, functionality, testing, and conversions are maintained.Identify potential areas where existing business policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations where applicable.Participate in the planning and coordination of related upgrades, enhancements, and process improvements.Maintain and disseminate enterprise expertise for Oracle Financials Projects Suite, including coordinating the development, editing, and maintenance of documented operating procedures and standards.Key role in training of Super-users and EFS team members, including maintaining related documentation.Facilitate/participate in the development of functional specifications and testing strategies with enterprise users.Develop, coordinate, and document test plans and coordinate/verify user acceptance testing.Escalate issues to EFS management and other stakeholders as required.Participate in relevant Oracle User Groups.Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Accounting/Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a strong accounting/business focus.Significant exposure to Oracle or similar ERP applications, and 3-5 years or more experience in a large-scale business environment is required.Keen interest in technology and a willingness to learn and analyze ways to use technology to improve processes and reporting.Good training and mentoring/coaching abilities.Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and processes.Strong ability to raise and/or resolve system issues.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities/demands simultaneously, and ability to recognize and address workload issues.Willingness to take ownership of assigned duties.Excellent communication skills, recognizing that the incumbent is part of a geographically dispersed team, responsible for coverage to users across N.
