Director of Diving - Located in Middle East
Global Industries, Ltd., with corporate executive offices in Houston, Texas, is searching for a Director of Diving to be located in the Middle East. The Company's shares are traded on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol "GLBL."
With 2006 revenues of $1.2 billion and a workforce of almost 4,000, Global provides offshore construction, engineering, project management and support services including pipeline construction, SURF installations, platform installation and removal and diving to the oil and gas industry around the world.
JOB ROLES:
Responsible for the overall direction, guidance and management for the Diving Business Unit. Develop, recommend and implement Diving policies and procedures. Assist area Vice President in planning the Diving division's business strategy. Provide supervision, leadership and development of staff. Review & approve all Diving quotes for clients. Establish and manage Diving cost centers and their respective budgets. Meet with clients and negotiate contracts. Review and approve all invoicing for Diving projects. Oversee client payment of projects and negotiate any invoicing issues. Prepare business forecast statements for the Diving division. Ensure company policy and procedures are adhered too by all in the Diving division. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Job Requirements:
ROLE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Good organizational and analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient knowledge of diving and offshore marine construction. Understanding of business management. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Understanding of market and current conditions.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 15 years experience in offshore diving and pipeline construction operations and 5 years management experience.
