Director of Distribution Services
Qualifications: Seeking a full time Director of Distribution Services. B. S. in related field is required. Strong engineering background is preferred.  Minimum of five years experience in electric utility industry. Management and supervisory experience needed with demonstrated capabilities in communication, listening, planning, organizing, and leadership. Must have a thorough understanding and demonstration of technical skills and use of technology such as SCADA, etc. The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills and a proven ability to deal effectively with the public.Â

The applicant must be able to use various office equipment and implement hardware/software upgrades for personal computers.  Successful project management experience and strategic systems and resource planning experience will be helpful. Five years management experience is also preferred along with team leadership experience.   A proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently is also preferred.

Duties will include: Directs the planning for financially responsible expansions, modifications, and improvements to the electrical distribution system. Directs all engineering analysis projects on the distribution system. Oversees the engineering, construction, and maintenance of the distribution system in an efficient and cost effective manner. Assures that purchasing practices are the most efficient as well as economical for the cooperative. Assures the effective administration and maintenance of contracts applicable to the departments per internal practices. Direct the corporate planning and budgeting process. Fulfill supervisory responsibilities including but not limited to planning, scheduling, delegating, and appraising direct reports. Completes service watch as required.
