Position SummaryResponsible for financial optimization and commercial coordination of 3rd party and Calpine joint venture power generation facilities.???Essential Duties and Responsibilities1.     Responsible for maximizing gross margin profit of 3rd party and Calpine joint venture generation assets. 2.     Coordinate negotiation and execution of applicable commercial enabling agreements between plant owner and counterparties (i.e. NAESB, EEI, ISDA, natural gas transportation, gas storage, etc) for applicable generation facilities.  3.     Direct commercial oversight of gas and power purchase/sales with generation plant and Calpine trading / scheduling personnel. Ensure communication and execution is consistent with intended strategic objectives. 4.     Direct implementation and coordinate monitoring of risk management metrics for applicable facilities. Alert owner of potential adverse risk positions and offer remedies. 5.     Ensure Calpine accounting and risk reporting requirements to plant owner are performed on a timely basis. Coordinate and ensure all respective Calpine systems accurately include facility related information. 6.     Assist in negotiation of facility related term capacity and energy related agreements (i.e. Resource Adequacy, tolling, heat rate, etc.) 7.     Coordinate and direct periodic risk management committee meetings and related reports between Calpine and plant owner, to review operating results and determine whether prevailing commercial strategy requires adjustment.8.     Proactively communicate with counterparty to develop and maintain effective      relationship and channels of communication, in order to facilitate execution of      Energy Management Services Agreement. 9.     Assist generation owner in establishing a hedging plan to achieve gross margin       targets. Ensure plan is correctly executed by Calpine.10. Ensure compliance and fulfillment of respective Energy Management Services Agreement(s) is accomplished.11. Manage related facility counterparty relationships (i.e. related ISOs, gas/storage suppliers, term tolling or capacity, etc.) where applicable.12. Other duties and special projects as assigned or identified.Qualifications Qualifications1.  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred, but not required.  2.     Minimum of 7-10 years related work experience.  3.     Industry knowledge - preferably in a merchant generation organization, experience in trading, origination and/or asset management. 4.     Understanding of commodity hedging and derivative products. 5.     Strong financial / analytical skills. 5.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize responsibilities. 6.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
