SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Director, Credit Risk Management, this position is responsible for managing Direct Energy’s North American Business credit risk function (commercial and industrial gas and power customers).
Key Accountabilities
Develop and administer the DE Business Credit Policy Develop, implement and maintain DE Business credit information systems Manage large customer credit relationships Manage and develop staff in Pittsburgh, Calgary and other locations as required Conduct customer contract reviews for any changes to standard credit related sections Review large, longer term and structured transactions Maintain vendor relationships such as with D&B and Equifax Work on M&A projects as required Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal business unit customers (Sales and Operations) Maintain strong relationship with the Collections functionQualifications
University undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field required. 7-10 years experience in financial, analytical or credit related work, with credit experience preferred MBA, CPA, CFA or similar professional designation, or enrollment in a related program preferred Demonstrated leadership experience Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-centric environment
