Design Engineers needed to provide CUSTOM SOLUTIONS

SUMMARY

Designs control valves by using suitable, cost-effective severe service valve designs by performing the following duties.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Ø   Responsible for the design of the control valves to customer specifications; selection of appropriate hardware for particular application; production support; and customer service.

 

Ø   Prepares and checks detailed drawings and releases valve packages to manufacturing/assembly.

 

Ø   Responsible for reviewing customer contracts.

 

Ø  Analyzes valve products and performance requirements to determine valve designs which can be  produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.

 

Ø   Maintains valve project document files.

 

Ø   Prepares or revises valve drawings as required.

 

Ø   Compiles and writes buyout specifications.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

Ø  Must have working knowledge of MS Office and CAD software(ACAD, Solidworks preferred)

 

Ø  Must have good interpersonal communication skills.

 

Ø  Must have basic knowledge of properties of gas and liquids – thermodynamics.

 

Ø  Must have basic knowledge in principles of flow and fluid statics and dynamics.

 

Ø  Preferred manufacturing drawing comprehension.

 

Ø  Preferred basic knowledge of properties of engineering materials.

 

Ø  Preferred basic knowledge of material removal process, plating, welding, and coating technology.

 

     

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree (BS) from four year college or university; or four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

LANGUAGE

Ø  Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

 

Ø  Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.

 

Ø  Must be able to write in English and to speak English fluently.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ø  Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

 

Ø  Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal several abstract and concrete variables.
