Chevron U.S.A. Inc. is accepting online applications for the position of Decision Analyst located in Houston, TX. through October 20, 2008.Overview:Global Supply and Trading is building its commercial analytical capability, and is seeking talented and motivated candidates to expand its new Market Research and Analytics department (MRA). Successful candidates will join the new team and create a high level of analytical capability to support upstream, downstream, and trading commercial activities. The Decision Analyst position contributes to this capability by applying Decision Analysis methodology to major Chevron projects.Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:- Applies Decision Analysis methodology to major Chevron projects.- Facilitates project team through the Decision Analysis process.- Builds probabilistic economic models and interprets results in support of project team.- Works with Quantitative and Fundamental Analysts to integrate those disciplines into the Decision Analysis methodology.- Identifies need for additional quantitative or fundamental analysis on a project evaluation, and works with other analysts in MRA team to deliver.- Keeps abreast of latest developments (Tools, Methods) for conducting decision analysis, and introduces best practices into the company- Trains and mentors other analysts on the application of decision analysis tools and methods.- Engages other Chevron Decision Analysis groups to share information, ideas, and best practices.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, other analytical discipline.- Energy industry experience (oil industry strongly preferred).Preferred Qualifications:- MBA or Masters in quantitative field.- 5-10 years of related experience.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignment will be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Houston, TX 77002 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Business/Strategic Management
