New Hampshire PUC Seeks Sustainable Energy Division Director
The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission has an immediate opening for a Director of its newly created Sustainable Energy Division. Job responsibilities include administering financial and program responsibilities for the Renewable Energy and Regional Greenhouse Gas Emissions funds, advising the Commission regarding energy efficiency and sustainable energy issues, and serving as spokesperson for the Division’s activities.
Minimum qualifications for the position are eight years experience in research or planning preferably with a regulatory agency, public utility or consulting firm including experience in energy policy, energy efficiency projects or programs and a Master's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in the field of economics, engineering, finance, law, sustainable management, energy, environment, business and/or related field. Each additional year of work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education at the graduate level only.
The Commission offers a friendly work environment and is located in Concord, the State’s capital, close to mountains, lakes and ocean yet only one hour from Boston. The salary range for the position is $60,216 to $82,446 with a starting salary typically not to exceed $72,208. On January 4, 2009, all State of New Hampshire classified positions will receive a 5.5% raise. The State also offers an excellent benefits package.
