Customer Service Supervisor

Build your career here and experience the advantages that come with working for one of the most respected names in the Utilities and Energy Industry.  We are presently seeking candidates for Supervisors in our Customer Contact Center in Syracuse, New York.The ideal candidates will be responsible for: Supervising the work of Customer Service personnel who handle residential and commercial service issues. Managing and directing the activities of Customer Service personnel to ensure effective customer and public relations through the prompt, accurate and professional response to all customer requests, inquiries and issues. Assisting in the selection and hiring of Customer Service Representatives. Providing on-the-job training and evaluation of employee performance. Scheduling and delegating work to Customer Services Representatives. Assisting employees with difficult tasks, customer situations and work-related problems. Reviewing and resolving complex problems with customer accounts or billing. Investigating and responding to difficult and sensitive complaints or issues. Coordinate with other departments, local governmental and regulatory agencies to resolve routing and complex customer inquiries and complaints.Job Qualifications: An Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree preferred. A minimum of one year call center experience and one year supervisory experience required. Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, employee relations, customer-oriented and leadership skills. Must be a team player. Must be able to work shift work including Saturday and Sunday coverage, as well as provide coverage during outages or other emergencies (including off-hour coverage). Candidates must be able to successfully complete a physical exam, including drug screening and background investigation.
