This position will be hired at the Associate LNG Technician or LNG Technician level, depending upon the candidate's skills and experience.
The Control Systems LNG Technician is responsible for all aspects of the plant control system, including control network administration and maintenance, to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable LNG terminal operations.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:Assist in control system network administration and maintenance;Assist with programming, configuration, design, and maintenance of DCS (Distributed Control System) and related systems;Assist with support of daily operational needs. After training period, respond 24/7 to application support calls using approved tools, methods, and procedures;Assist with analysis of new requirements, evaluation, and identification of detailed system modifications necessary to implement solutions; Work closely with field engineers/technicians and Plant Operations to make appropriate protocol, screen, report, interface and system modificationsQualificationsPosition Qualifications (such as education,experience,etc.)Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent;Experience in network administration and maintenance;Prefer experience with Sybase relational database, scripting, SQL, Excel, Visual Basic.Net, C, and C++;Prefer experience with different communications protocols including modbus;Prefer experience with Emerson DeltaV, ABB Bailey Infi-90 DCS, MYNAH MiMiC, and ICS Triplex
The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:Ability to analyze and resolve software trouble reports;Exhibits strong analytical abilities and aptitude for understanding and applying software technical concepts;Ability to interface with various departments, and internal and external customer groups;Customer service orientation
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
Additional Information:70 - 90% Indoor work and 10% - 30% in the field. May be subject to adverse physical conditions; Some travel is required (typically less than 10%);Must be able to operate with minimal supervision;On call and occasional shift work (shared with others);Safety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing. Pre-transfer drug test will be required for successful candidate not currently in a safety-sensitive position;Must possess a valid driver's license;Must live within reasonable commuting distance from the plant.
