It all starts here, with you.Dominion is currently searching for licensed and non-licensed Nuclear Control Room Operator candidates for our North Anna Nuclear Power Station located in Mineral, Virginia.Licensed Reactor Operators- CROs, SROs, ROs must have extensive nuclear power plant operations experience and experience in a Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) commercial nuclear power plant environment. Control room supervision desired. Non-licensed Operators stand watch on 8-hour shifts, operating the turbine generator and reactor support systems while gaining the requisite knowledge and experience to become licensed Reactor Operators. Shift work, overtime, continuous training with periodic examinations, and respirator qualification are required.Those with the potential, desire and proven performance are promoted to positions of increased responsibility and leadership. Dominion's North Anna Power Station is a great place to build a career as a Control Room Operator!This position is represented by the Bargaining Agreement between Dominion and the local Union 50 of the IBEW. No relocation assistance will be provided.QualificationsIndividuals must have SRO or six or more years Navy nuclear or previous Reactor Operator experience at another PWR plant. Individuals must be familiar with nuclear power plant operations. Successful NLO candidates will be required to obtain and maintain an operator's license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
High School Diploma or GED required
Working Conditions:
This position is in a power plant environment and incumbents may be exposed to conditions such as: dust/grease/oil, loud noise, pressurized lines & valves, cold, confined spaces, energized wires, fumes, heat, office work Environment, operating machinery, outdoors, and radiation.
Test Required:
