Located in southwest Washington our Centralia Complex is currently seeking experienced Plant Equipment Operators, Assistant Control Operators and Control Operators. This important base-load plant provides 8 percent of the power generated in Washington State with a net capacity of 1,653 MW – 1,404 MW from coal generation and 248 MW from natural gas combined-cycle.

 

What can you expect as an Operator at TransAlta’s Centralia Complex? To work 12-hour rotating shifts, with 15 out of 28 days scheduled off including one eight-day long change rotation. To receive a great benefits package that includes affordable medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, gain-share and stock options. To grow your retirement fund through a 401k with fixed and company matched contributions at 5 percent of base pay (for a total of 10%). To be paid a competitive wage; for 2008 our wage schedule for operators ranges from $30.10 to $38.55 per hour. To be well compensated for your relocation to Washington State.
