Contracts Administrator
Superior Energy Services is the leading provider of specialized oilfield services and equipment focusing on serving the production-related needs of oil and gas companies around the globe. Superior provides all of the post wellhead products and services necessary to produce and maintain offshore wells including plug and abandonment services at the end of their life cycle. Superior maintains one of the highest safety records in the industry and is interested in candidates who will help to maintain or exceed that record.
Superior’s Legal team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Contract Administrator with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational and time management skills to join a fast-paced environment. This position will be dealing with a high volume of domestic and international contracting activity. Candidate should possess strong technical and leadership competencies to succeed in an organization stressing smooth execution and customer relationships. This candidate must have a broad understanding of legal contracting principles with some experience in drafting and negotiating contracts. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail is an absolute MUST.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage the contract formation process for the company, including proper intake, gathering relevant underlying information, obtaining the requisite approvals, facilitating proper execution and filing.
Prepare and/or participate in the preparation of customer proposals, agreements and related documents.
Fully support the negotiations of customer contract terms and conditions to ensure effective contract execution consistent with Superior’s terms, conditions, policies and procedures.
Participate in and support a cross-divisional, cross-functional effort to develop and implement a consistent customer contract framework and standardized terms and conditions across Superior.
Support Superior’s international contracting activity, including international tenders and contracts.
Ensure an effective and efficient document management system of all customer contract documents.
Coordinate review and input from appropriate business functions and cross-functional teams as needed to complete contracting documents.
Coordinate with the other members of the contracting team to ensure effective workflow, consistent process execution and unified approaches throughout Superior.
QUALIFICATIONSPrior legal or business department experience of 2 – 4+ years is required, and industry experience is preferred.
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies (or certificate program), business or business-related field.
Paralegal training via a law firm or corporate legal department is a plus.
