Objective:
Responsible for coordination, evaluation and management of Complex Transactions for the US Power and Gas markets supporting the organization by identifying key risks and non-standard transaction implications. Other responsibilities include collaboration with functional leads, presentations to the Non-Standard Transaction Committee, providing recommendations for transaction process enhancements and support for the Pricing and Structured Products group. This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Complex Transactions and support Functional and Regional Sales Leadership for the purpose of evaluating transactions and identifying critical business risks
Responsibilities:
· Work with sales to quickly identify qualifying transactions
· Review and analyze large high value sales opportunities
· Identify key risks and non-standard criteria
· Coordinate with functional groups (Sales, Operations, Pricing, Products, EMG, Legal) to identify transaction implications specific to each group
· Document findings and present recommendations to Non-Standard Transaction Committee for consideration
· Serve as end-to-end transaction manager for deals the NSTC identifies as valued opportunities
· Assist sales teams in preparation of formal responses to indirect and direct opportunities.
· Participate in negotiations for association and aggregation opportunities
· Define and refine non-standard criteria for transaction consideration
· Assist in analysis, pricing, deal structuring and contract negotiations for large customers, aggregation deals, large Requests for Pricing (RFP), etc.
· Participate in online auction transactions
· Recommend process improvements
· Provide detailed reporting regarding transactions, auction platforms and third party consultants
· Support initiatives of Pricing and Structured Products group
Requirements:
· 1-5 years experience in energy analysis, financial analysis, business analysis, contract negotiations and/or sales analysis.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to prepare and present accurate, clear and concise reports.
· Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
· Must exhibit leadership, be a self starter and have the ability to work independently or as a team player.
· Detail oriented with follow-through skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus.
· Energy experience a plus.
Education:
Ideal candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business, finance, engineering or related area.
