Your commodity management expertise and in-depth knowledge of electrical systems and controls such as printed circuit boards, programmable logic controllers and motor drives will be called upon as we will look to you to analyze, establish and validate new and existing supply chain partners for our next-generation solar power conversion units (PCU). Your ability to effectively manage our supply chain vendors and serve as the conduit between Stirling’s team and our suppliers will be the key to your success. Based in our Phoenix, AZ headquarters and traveling approximately 30-40% of the time to our partner sites (primarily in North America) your main focus will be the implementation and flawless execution of a new commodity management and reporting infrastructure for our suppliers and ensuring the quality, delivery, cost reduction and technology improvements as defined in our supply agreements. Your previous experience identifying and managing new and existing supply chain partners providing electrical systems and controls in the automotive, assembly engine, engine-driven capital machinery or aerospace arena will be critical to your success. You should have a proven knowledge of metal cutting, forming, machining, fastening and assembly. Although not required additional experience with generators and transformers will be a plus. Your strong negotiation skills will allow you to effectively manage our supply chain partners and ensure quality, on time delivery and cost down achievement. A metrics / KPI driven management style will add to your candidacy (Six Sigma). As the key interface between the suppliers and our team polished yet firm communication skills and the ability to build relationships will be crucial to managing the entire commodity management function.
