Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

· Manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between COMPANY and the customer, including performing the following:

o  Ensure that COMPANY meets its contractual obligations to the customer and does so on-time, within budget, safely and with high quality standards

o  Act as single point of contact for customer ensuring that customer is kept informed and that all technical and commercial needs are met, whether scheduled or emergency

o  Prepare and submit contract deliverables including but not limited to reports,  notices, and  invoices

o  Be attentive to new opportunities with the customer and communicate this to the COMPANY Commercial Originator as appropriate

 

· Manage all technical deliverables by planning, contracting, and coordinating the activities required for successful delivery of COMPANY contracted services.  This includes but is not limited to field labor activities, parts repairs, and parts replacement.

o  Solicit quotations, negotiate commercially with internal and external providers, approve purchase orders (within established budget), track costs, and efficiently manage all available resources

o  Ensure pre-outage meetings occur both with suppliers and with the customer

o  Ensure that post-outage meetings occur both with suppliers and with customer

o  Use outage lessons learned to more efficiently manage contract going forward

 

· Manage all internal requirements for contract management, including performing the following:

o  Prepare  annual budget and schedules for approval by Regional Director - Operations

o  Search for and implement mid term and long term cost reduction and life extension strategies to maximize the lifetime margin of the project.

o  Prepare and submit bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to Regional Director – Operations.

o  Identify problems that could compromise delivery on contract and elevate to proper level of management as required to ensure these problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

· Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement with the ability to think on a strategic level as well as a tactical level is required to drive solutions within a matrix organization.

· A minimum of ten year's relevant experience, with a minimum of four years in a management position.

· Ideal candidates will have strong power or process industry experience and will have successfully managed contracts, budgets, and people. 

· Strong commercial and project management skills are essential as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Preference will be given to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in advanced technology gas turbine power plants or similar environment.

· Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping and lifting (up to 75 pounds).
