We are a small growing technology company developing, manufacturing, and marketing advanced catalytic devices and systems for Energy sector applications including fuel reforming, clean and efficient catalytic combustion, air cleaning and specialty applications. Our technologies are innovative and our products in development offer high value-added for large and growing markets. We operate with revenues from both government R&D contracts and major industrial partner support, and have built a world-leading expertise in catalytic combustion, catalytic reforming, and novel specialty applications of short contact time catalysts. Products under development include compact, high efficiency fuel processors for fuel cells and other applications, ultra-compact burners, trace contaminant control systems, ultra-low NOx catalytic combustors for gas turbines, a downhole catalytic combustor/steam generator for oil and gas production, and short contact time catalytic reactors for chemicals manufacture.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Catalyst Scientist/Engineer with excellent, hands-on R&D skills, to develop catalysts and catalyst support for our products and to direct catalyst development programs. The Senior Catalyst Scientist will be a key member of PCI’s technical team and must have current USwork eligibility status.Background/Experience Required
· Technology skills mastery: Experience in heterogeneous catalyst materials and coatings development and application required. Must have thorough knowledge of catalyst fundamentals and significant experience in PGM catalyst development and high temperature catalyst applications. Ability to integrate such development into reactor designs and expertise in catalyst selection a must. Chemical reactor engineering skill would be very helpful. Experience with successful catalyst R&D and new technology commercialization, proposal preparation, product plan development and execution, and customer contact necessary. Knowledge of short contact time catalysts, catalytic combustion, gas turbines, engines or new pollution control technology is not necessary, although it would be helpful.
· Managerial skills: (including personal leadership, vision, program management, and product development). Ability to manage technical staff focused in the area of catalyst development, write proposals, obtain funding and maintain budgets is essential. Must be results-oriented team player with skill to work well with other company senior technical staff, management and customers.
· Education and Experience: Ph.D. in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering with appropriate background in laboratory preparation, characterization and testing of catalysts and industrial experience; or MS level with 10+ years relevant industry experience in heterogeneous catalyst development and application.Skills/Style
