CONTROLS-ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Location:Â Indianapolis, IN 46201 Division:Â Engineering Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing and supporting new and existing control systems used in the companies various coating processes; executing moderately complex engineering projects; performing project engineering support and project work from design to implementation in accordance with Praxair policies; participating as a key contributor on project and technical teams and may provide technical guidance to others as assigned; working independently and making technical decisions based on full awareness of viability, cost and other benefits; developing and implementing innovative solutions; providing process control system hardware/software support to a variety of plant based personnel including maintenance and process engineers; and training, troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and preventative/corrective maintenance focusing on all areas of process control systems. May travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.Requirements: To qualify, you must have a BS in engineering with 3-7 years of experience in the area process control and automation. Effective interpersonal communication skills are also required as the incumbent interacts with levels of company personnel globally, as well as vendors and potential customers. The position requires proficiency with process control content of P&I diagrams and working knowledge of schematic wiring diagrams, primary instrumentation & electrical background with experience with control system electrical and instrumentation components (valves, control panels etc). The successful candidate will demonstrate significant technical independence, excellent project management skills in development of process control systems. It would be desired if the candidate possessed a basic understanding of the various Thermal Spray processes. The preferred candidates will also have a background with development, support and maintenance of PLC based automated process control systems. Practical application experience with Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI's and ABB Robots is highly desired.
