CAD Operator II

In this position duties of the selected candidate will consist of those jobs necessary, but not limited to, assisting the Regional Engineering Department with drawings, both by hand and computer-generated, and file organization in regards to the installation, maintenance, and operation of sewer and water facilities in the various Illinois, Indiana and Missouri locations. 

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL OR REGISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Possess a minimum of an Associates Degree, and at least one year experience of simple mapping.  Have the technical, academic and physical ability to perform the duties of this classification. Be able to readily read, understand and accurately follow operating instructions both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in writing; have a personality that allows full cooperation, communication with and assistance to other employees. Be able to discern between the relative important of assigned duties. Conscientious in respect for the responsibility to safeguard the public water supply and prevent pollution of area surface waters.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as well as AutoCAD. Surveying, proficiency with internet and software such as MS Access and Adobe Technical is preferred but not required.
