CAD Operator
Basic Job Function Transforms initial rough electrical and mechanical designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field. Scope of ResponsibilityIn general, this position supports the Company’s design and business development by tanslating concepts into engineering drawings of the highest quality. Candidate will use standard AutoCad libraries and good industry practices. Experience: · 5 years of experience using AutoCad Education· Associate Engineering Degree or the equivalent experience. Required Skills:· CAD experience. · Proven knowledge of Engineering Principles and Practices.· Proven communications skills.· Knowledge of Computer Applications. Essential Functions & Responsibilities· Interfaces with other company representatives (internally and externally).· May periodically report on projects and project status. Physical Requirements· May sit for long periods of time throughout the day.· May lift up to 25 lbs. (files, computer printouts, books of prints).· Will walk and climb stairs. May occasionally climb on equipment.· Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects.· Specific vision abilities are required.· May stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear.First Solar Electric is a leader in the development of large scale solar energy systems and will focus on developing solutions for utilities in the United States.
