Buyer/Material Planner

We are currently seeking a Buyer/Material Planner in our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit. Our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit, based out of our corporate headquarters in Monroeville, PA, specializes in product development, systems engineering, component design, equipment manufacturing, and project management for new nuclear power plants worldwide. It is within this Business Unit that developed the AP1000 design, the safest and most economical nuclear power plant available in the worldwide commercial market place.The Buyer/Material Planner will support the internal customers of Supply Chain Management, as well as to support effective and professional communications with WEC suppliers.This position will be responsible for:- Assisting with correspondence between Westinghouse and its suppliers, as well as internal Program-specific Westinghouse documentation.- Acting as a liaison between SCM and engineering/projects/document control to support all elements of the document control process, including for example:- Assigning numbers to incoming supplier documents- Using existing document control procedures, load incoming and outgoing submittals into the Electronic Document Control System ("EDMS")- Assisting in routing and tracking submittals through the document control process- Supporting other internal document control requirements, including purchase order supporting documentation, meeting minutes, documentation of negotiations, purchase order appendices, and supplier inspection, manufacturing and quality plans, etc.A successful candidate will have experience with and/or be familiar with the following:Knowledge of Request for Proposal ("RFP") and purchase order processes, including commercial terms and conditions, as well as document management requirements in a technical environment.1. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Business Administration is required.2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Access also desired.3. SAP experence desired.4. Typical three years of related professional experience.
