Assistant Operations Manager-   Marble River Wind Farm

 

We are seeking well organized individuals with high integrity and demonstrated leadership and management skills to assist the Operations Manager in leading the owner representation and day-to-day management of the referenced plant.

 

Responsibilities and duties:

This position will lead a team of approximately two in the management of the 200 MW Marble River Wind Farm facility located in Ellenburg, New York and oversee contractors at the facility, including but not limited to:

  Administrate operating-related agreements, permits and regulatory compliance obligations Maximize plant performance and assure value retention Monitor and assure contractor performance and quality, conduct and report on periodic meetings with contractors and partners Facilitate periodic reporting; monitor each facility’s performance versus expected; engage appropriate in-house and external resources as performance issues may require Manage contractors in the operations and maintenance of generating and balance-of-plant facilities Assure on-site activities at each facility are conducted is a safety and environmentally conscious manner Manage the facility’s relationship with interconnected and customer entities Assure reliable electronic communication is maintained between the turbines, substation, site office and home office. Coordinate with partner owner in representing project and company in landowner and community relationships Interface with engineering, accounting, development staff and other individuals both inside and outside the company as required Other tasks as successful facility operations may require

 

Qualifications:

*    Bachelors degree strongly preferred; demonstrated expertise required,

*    Ten to fifteen years of work experience in related industry

*    Strong interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills

*    Demonstration of successful leadership and management in a prior role

*    High attention to detail and inherent inquisitiveness

*    Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and remotely;

*    Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook & SQL Server and proven ability to learn  

     new software programs

*    Experience with LAN, WAN and enterprise SCADA systems preferred.

*    Ability to work outdoors and climb towers

*    Ability to manage facility emergencies 24/7

*    This position will report to the Senior Manager-Regional Operation
