Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Permian Asset Development Reservoir Engineer, located in Midland, Texas.Overview:The Midland Asset Development Reservoir Engineer manages opportunities on held-by-production acreage and non-operated joint ventures (NOJV) in the Permian Basin. This NOJV drills over 100 wells per year. The Reservoir Engineer role provides technical input and oversight of the operator, as well as reserves and production forecasting services for Chevron. An additional 200,000 acre fee land position attracts numerous farmout and joint venture (JV) offers that this position will help evaluate.Qualifications:Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Evaluate development options for the Permian Wolfcamp Joint Venture and Chevron operated properties. • Provide reservoir engineering, including modeling/simulation/analysis with the Houston Reservoir Management team, as required. • Provide reserves evaluation and production forecasting reporting for Permian Basin properties.• Lead by example in promoting safe behaviors and valuing diversity.Required Qualifications:• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering.• A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.• Knowledge of and experience in team-based project evaluations and decision-making protocols.• Demonstrated leadership/mentor/teamwork skills including communication, leading change and shaping performance, as well as continuous learning and networking skills.• Strong decision analysis capabilities. • The ability to model numerous complex development scenarios.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with and understanding of various RAM subsurface tools, including CIRCE and UMP.• Reservoir modeling/simulation experience.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Abilene/Odessa, TX 79705 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
