Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting applications for an Appraisal Petroleum Engineer, located in Houston, Texas.Overview: As a member of the Deepwater Exploration and Production (DWEP) Appraisal team, you will be part of a core Appraisal team that works with a number of project teams in the DWEP Strategic Business Unit. This assignment provides an opportunity to work on high profile, large scope projects in a key corporate focus area. Team members have a unique opportunity to develop technical skills, proficiency in business and commercial issues, decision modeling, project management and partner management. As more discoveries enter the Appraisal group in the future, there is an opportunity for the right candidate to take on an asset team leader role. Qualifications:Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Develop appraisal evaluation plans.• Perform well test planning and analysis.• Perform well bore data evaluation.• Perform resource estimation.• Develop management presentations.• Perform economic analysis.Required Qualifications:• A Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.• A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.• Broad background in petroleum engineering including resource estimation, well test analysis, log analysis, core analysis, and PVT and fluid analysis.• The ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-functional project team.• Experience on major capital projects including alternative evaluation, decision analysis, field development planning, surveillance planning and project execution planning.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Houston, TX 77002 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
