After Hours Dispatcher - Part Time

Title:  DISPATCHER     

 

Status: 3 part time positions

 

Salary: $11.00 per hour

 

Hours:  Mon - Fri 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., possibility for weekend hours as well

 

General Duties:

 

  Dispatch underground utility locate tickets

  Customer Service

  Maintain good employee, client, and public relations

 

Specific Duties:

 

  Dispatch facility locates by pager, phone or radio

  Prepare tickets for billing

  Generate computer reports

  Relay locate changes to locators, contractors or utility companies

  Prepare and post mail

File, fax, copy and type information

  Read maps to determine location/direction

  Relay and document locate/damage information

  Complete special projects as requested

  Assure that all policies and procedures are consistently followed

 

Qualifications:

 

  High school education or equivalent

  Ability to utilize computers and other office equipment

  Background in typing and data entry

  Ability to handle multiple phone-lines

  Background in multiple-task environment

  Ability to read maps

  Excellent oral and written communication skills

  Excellent organizational skills

Excellent customer service skills

  Must work Holidays, Weekends, Second and Third Shifts
