Accounting Assistant

Accounts for accurate crude oil inventory records for assigned customers; responsible for submitting crude inventories, cost of goods, and invoicing data to Finance through Synthesis for invoice preparation and all accounting verifications and financial reporting functions including ticket reconciliation and gain loss ; provide analytical, accounting, administrative, secretarial and clerical functions for administration/operations. Review and analyze crude oil inventory records to verify accuracy of customer inventories and invoices. Assist with budgeting, AFE tracking, sox auditing, various governmental reports and other accounting related activities.

Job Requirements:


HS diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.  Knowledge of oil industry terminology and understanding of oil terminalling business. Computer proficiency in business software applications, i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Familiarity and/or knowledge of Synthesis, and various other specialized software packages.  Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to interact with others both internal and external to the organization.
