Account Manager, T&D

 We are a global organization that provides our customers the most comprehensive Transmission & Distribution offering for all industries. We are currently loooking for an Account Manager that would be responsible for:  Sales of Prower Products and Power Systems products: (Distribution Transfomers, Connectors, Reclosers, Pad-mounted switchgear) and services to assigned customer or territory.  The territory will be Arkansas, Louisana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee) and consist mostly of municipals, co-ops and utilities.  Will also evaluate customer requirements, and develop and implement sales strategies designed to satisfy those requirements while maximizing profits, improving performance and ensuring optimum levels of customer satisfaction.  This is not a "flashy" sales position, more of a "wear a pair of jeans'" and get into the trenches.  Typical duties/responsibilities for sales may include, but are not limited to, the following: Serve as the Company's principal point of customer contact for business area units represented. Recognize and communicate potential opportunities to the business units and assist them to take advantage of these opportunities.Establish, build, and maintain long-term customer relationships in order to improve the Company's opportunities for sales and profits, ensure customer satisfaction and provide effective responses to customer requirements.Coordinate communications among customers and various business units to ensure accurate, consistent and relevant information. Communicate to the business units such information as forecasts of customer needs, resource requirements, shop loading and recommendations for value-added offerings.Manage, within budget, sales activities to achieve assigned orders, margins and related objectives. Provide technical direction and review decisions of less experienced staff.  TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field plus 5 to 10 years of experience. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. This is a Home Office position and Company Car is included ...
