ANALYST - Credit Risk
OCCUPATION: Credit Review/Analysis We're not just growing fast; we're growing smart - and we want you to come grow with us!The Commercial and Industrial Collections unit of our Credit and Collections Department, located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking a Analyst to perform credit risk analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Performing analysis and making recommendations regarding deposit securitization on the Commercial and Industrial portfolio for National Grid US, as directed. Work at the direction of the Lead Credit Risk Analyst. Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations specific to collection matters for commercial and industrial accounts in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, with a heightened focus on deposit securitization regulations and requirements. Performing credit review of the active commercial client base in order to introduce customer-specific credit worthiness recommendations. Performing specified audits to ensure compliance with the Customer Contact Centers and third-party vendors regarding policies for account initiation, deposits and service reactivation after termination for non-payment and others as directed. Producing and distributing monthly credit risk scorecard with key analysis results. Working with a diverse team of skilled individuals on critical job assignment and relevant projects. Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with key stakeholders.The qualifications for the Analyst-Credit Risk include: Bachelor's degree in Finance. Previous experience in collections, customer service, consumer relations, billing and/or regulatory affairs is a plus. Strong analytical skills and proficient in the use of customer and financial systems. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or within team environment and to interact effectively through written and verbal means, positively affecting change. Strong ability to communicate in a clear, complete, logical and professional manner. Must possess a strong work ethic and take great pride in their work product. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Strong database experience and proficiency required.
