Yield Improvement Engineer

Philips Lumileds currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Yield Improvement Engineer working on III-V epitaxial processes.  Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Lead critical projects in yield improvement of Epitaxy LED devices in a high volume manufacturing environment. Sustain and improve capability of epi characterization & metrology tools.Work with a cross-functional, international team to understand impact of process variability on downstream processes, yields and device performance.Collaborate with process and hardware engineers, maintenance technicians and operations staff to develop solutions to yield loss root causes.Collaborate with R&D on transfers/proliferation of new processes.

Requirements:BS or higher degree in Engineering, Material Science or related field.2+ years experience in III-V epitaxy and optoelectronics, experience in As/P preferred.Experience in Six-Sigma/DMAIC and statistical analysis methodologies preferred.Strong communication skills.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Solid understanding of optoelectronic device physics
