Western Regional Sales Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

The applicant MUST have the following qualifications:

Demonstrated ability and knowledge to perform technical sales of board and system level products, and the ability to manage and support the efforts of manufacturer’s representatives and subordinate sales staff in the assigned territory.

 Demonstrated capability to communicate with all parties orally and in writing, including the capability to prepare formal proposals (and quotations) and make technical presentations to FEI-Zyfer’s standards.

Demonstrated track record of the ability to develop new business and increase sales in an assigned territory, consistent with the company’s business plan, revenue and profit targets, to select and report on those opportunities that are viable and of interest to the company, and to coordinate company response for those opportunities which management chooses to pursue.

 Ability and availability to travel as required for trade shows, customer site visits, and training and support of manufacturer’s representatives.

 Ability to coordinate and work with other departments within the company that are involved in the marketing and sales process, and to provide timely and accurate near-term and long-term forecasting to support our manufacturing efforts.

 Bachelor of Science in relevant field and 5-7 years experience in regional or nationwide sales and marketing of board or system-level products in the electronics industry, or 10-15 years experience in regional or nationwide sales and marketing of board and/or system-level products with one or more companies in a closely related market.

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

 

Additional DESIRED qualifications of the applicant:

Ability to generate Marketing Requirements Documents and Customer Requirements Documents, to perform trade studies in support of MRD’s, and the ability to generate white papers for use in the trade press, sales to organizations, and sales to specific customers for specific applications, etc.

 Ability to assist with the development of marketing collateral materials, including datasheets and advertisements.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

Make technical sales in the assigned territory, using and supporting manufacturer’s representatives to elicit increased opportunity generation, provide optimum sales coverage for current customers and prospects, and to grow sales and improve our market share. Prepare formal proposals, quotations, white papers and other documents as necessary to support sales and marketing efforts.Generate internal documents, e.g., MRD’s, CRD’s and forecasts - to efficiently convey customer needs to internal staff
