Job Summary: As a member of an Internet Development team the position will be responsible for the visual appearance of the corporate website using a combination of graphic design skills, user-centered design principles, and technical knowledge. Will maintain and communicate consistent design standards for the development team. This position will also be responsible for designing the user interface of cutting edge web applications and creating design prototypes for future applications. Job Responsibilities: 50% Create graphical designs for new and existing web pages and applications based on requestors needs. 30% Creating digital assets such as web images, buttons, banners, … 10% Collaborate with other designers to maintain the web design guidelines and communicate to the Web Development team. 10% Research industry standards and create visual concepts that fulfill the needs of the business and is consistent with the corporate image. Education and Requirements: BA or equivalent experience Experience with required education - 2 - 4 years of related experience Experience without required education - 5 - 7 years of related experience ? Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform issues. ? Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design. ? Advanced knowledge of and experience with Adobe Photoshop. ? Experience with Macromedia Flash, CSS, HTML and other web technologies ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ? Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving. ? Ability to work well independently and within a team.
