Video System Architect

The Video System Architect will be leading a team of engineers to develop state of the art video conferencing products.  The successful candidate will be developing the architecture, providing technical leadership, and coordinating the activities of the development team. Additional duties will include researching, designing, and specifying solutions to product requirements and development of architectural specifications that span multiple disciplines including electrical, mechanical, software, and digital signal processing.

 

POSITION REQUIRMENTS INCLUDE:

 

7+ years experience in design, development and documentation of video systems from initial design through production plus a Bachelor’s Degree is required. Strong knowledge of current standards for video compression and transporting video over IP  networks.  3+ years of management experience coordinating the efforts of engineering product development teams including schedule management, and coordination of engineering efforts across multiple disciplines. Demonstrated experience coordinating the work with offshore development team.  Must have experience writing system architecture specifications and functional specifications for embedded products. Strong communication, documentation, organizational and teamwork skills are essential.
