Test/Validation Engineer

This person will be responsible for the design, implementation, execution and documentation of system integration tests and tools for state-of-the-art Carrier Grade computer platforms. Successful candidate will:* Partner with development teams on early integration and debug of system components* Create system test plans and acceptance tests for 3rd party integration products * Develop test infrastructure elements, tools and utilities* Manage outsourced projects with third party vendors* Plan and execute system tests Qualifications: Four year technical degree (EE, CE, Computer Science) plus 7 years experience or equivlalent educcation plu experience. This candidate should have at least 5 years of direct experience creating and executing test scripts and diagnostics for complex computer-based platforms. Experience with Linux, C, and PERL scripting is a requirement for this job. Experience with networking protocols, distributed applications, and Linux device drivers is highly desired, as are good written and verbal communcation skills. Experience in debugging embedded hardware and software is a definite plus. Knowledge and experience with switched-fabric ethernet architectures and IP Networking is highly desired.
